Access:  Take Highway 95 north from Amargosa Valley (formerly Lathrop Wells) to the Nevada Test Site Gate 510 access road; turn right.  Proceed 0.8 miles to    NC-EWPD-4PC on the left.

Purpose: Drilled primarily to provide new geologic information below 850 feet, and to evaluate water production potential in support of a large-scale pump test.  Problems were encountered at approximately 460 feet while drilling with dual-wall reverse circulation rotary methods.  The borehole was plugged back and abandoned.
